How do I learn guitar chords?
Learning guitar chords can be difficult. To help you learn guitar chords, we’re going to show you 3 guitar chord hacks that will take your chords to the next level.
Chord Hack #1 Place Your Thumb In The Middle Of The Neck
Your thumb MUST be in the middle of the neck with your thumb nail pointing up towards the ceiling.

Chord Hack #2 Use The Tips of Your Fingers
When you play guitar chords you MUST use the tips of your fingers. Fret each note as close to your finger nail as possible.
Don’t use the fleshy part of your fingers as this can clutter chords and make them sound messy.
Chord Hack #3 Keep Your Fingers Straight
When you play guitar chords you must try and keep your fingers as straight as possible.
- Your knuckle should be at a 90 degree angle whilst the rest of your hand arches over the fret board.

Chord Hack #4 Squeeze Your Hand Every Time You Learn A New Guitar Chord
Every time you learn a new guitar chord, squeeze your fretting hand. This triggers your muscle memory and teaches your hand to remember the chord.
However, be careful. You must make sure that the chord is correct. If you squeeze your hand when the chord is incorrect, you will be teaching yourself to play the wrong chord.
